Marriott Income Fund
The Marriott Income Fund invests in a wide selection of South African government,
municipal and public corporation bonds, money market investments and other high
yielding securities (for example, listed property stocks). The fund aims to achieve
a maximum income yield whilst maintaining capital stability. The fund will generally
hold quite large investments in money market securities in order to provide capital
stability, whilst achieving as high a yield as possible through some exposure to bonds
and other high yielding securities. The yield will be comparable with call rates.

Marriott subscribes to the adage "Spend the income, not the capital." Ideally, an
Investor’s capital base should not be eroded by drawing an unsustainably high income.
In order to achieve this objective it is recommended that the Investor does not
draw an income in excess of the fund’s yield – thereby creating an Investment for
Life.
Fund Objective
The fund seeks to maximise income yield as well as achieve capital stability. To
achieve this, the fund normally invests in a wide selection of high quality, mainly
South African government, municipal and public corporation stocks, fixed deposits
and other high yielding securities. The universe comprises high yielding securities,
non–equity securities and liquid assets. Call rates provide the fund with a benchmark.
